On Societal Culture Broadly
Over time this article could become very long, since it is on a very complex topic of which I have unique & unprecedented expertise.
The purpose of this article is to discuss how societal culture influences the success or failure of a society.
In Silicon Valley everyone is aware of the impact a startup’s culture has on the startup’s success or failure. Oftentimes, once laid incorrectly it is difficult to correct, because culture is a self-propagating dynamic phenomenon.
Similarly, for societies of any size, culture has a huge impact on the success or failure of a society. Throughout history when there was emergence of a large, dominant empire, there was often-times a prior cultural transformation.
For example when Peter The Great of Russia moved the fledgling Russian Kingdom towards an Empire, he did this among other things by transforming Russia’s culture and traditions.
Prior to this transformation, Peter had traveled through England, Holland, France and the German Kingdoms, where he borrowed cultural ideas and gained insights into new perspectives. And once he returned to Russia, he implemented his ideas to reform Russia.
